New Bergh is a city in the United States of America Oregon ヤムヒル county. I form a part of the Portland urban area. George Fox University establishes a main campus in the city. The population of the city in the point of 2000 national census was 18,064 people. The population in 2007 is a city having a population scale of the second place in the ヤムヒル county in 21,675 people [3].

History
New Bergh became municipal organization in 1889. It is said to this city that it was the Sebastian bulldog charr that the person who named it called "new Bergh" is the first postmaster, and State of Hesse noy Berg of Germany is from it.
New Bergh was the community where bethel of the Quakers was put up first in Oregon. In 1889, it was become a corporation as a city. The local newspaper "the nu Bergh graphic of the new Bergh city published it in the same year, too". The Pacific academy which became the George Fox University later in 1901 was established by a Quaker. The George Fox University is U.S. In the university which News & World Report classified as "national university", it is only Gospel group Christianity university in northwestern Pacific coast [4]. There is the campus in the central part of the city, and the houses which a university owns form a line in the neighborhood.
I moved in to new Bergh City in order to live with an uncle because Herbert Hoover who was 11 years old still lost parents in 1885. The house where Hoover lived in becomes the museum now as Hoover ミンソーン residence.
New Bergh was a "dry" town. Because, in most in the initial times of the cities, the sale of alcohols was prohibited in city limits of new Bergh. It is the present age, and sale of the alcohol comes to be accepted, and the professor and the graduate student of the George Fox University became able to drink some alcoholic beverages, but it is said that the undergraduate at university studies should still stop drinking.
It was decided to dismantle the police department of the city by a vote, and, in 2005, the dandy municipal assembly let you make a contract to share duties with the new Bergh Police [5]. When new Bergh municipal assembly made a contract, the new Bergh police were renamed newly as the new Bergh = Dundee Police. The police station was unified, but, about two fire departments, has an individual engine now.

New Bergh is located along point of southwestern 40km (25 mi) of Portland, Oregon way 99 west line.

Economic
As of 2002, as for the engine having the city's greatest employment population, George Fox University holding 400 employees afterwards in dental equipment maker "A-dec" having 832 employees continues [7]. Then, Suntron Corp., Providence hospital hold much number of employees SP Newpring Co [7]. In April, 2009, in the Austin house of A-dec, the Allison in and spa to own employed 250 employees for the purpose of duties before construction and opening of a store [8]. By opening of a store [9] of September of the year, the the Allison in and spa is going to add 200 full-time employees.

It links this road to Portland in the northeast and is allied with dandy and McMinnville Vale in southwest. The western part of the Willamette Valley spreads out when I advance to the south.
