At the baseball field that was ever in Miyagino-ku, Sendai-shi, Miyagi in Higashisendai Stadium (ひがしせんだいきゅうじょう) the former title "JT Stadium." Affiliates of JAPAN TOBACCO owned the facilities and were lent to Sendai-shi for two years from 2005 through 2006 and were run as facilities of the cities, but were closed down in October, 2006.

History
JT Stadium era
I was established as a ground for the welfare program of the staff in the site of the Japanese Monopoly Corporation (JAPAN TOBACCO in the back) Sendai factory. I was used for rubber-ball baseball at first, but was repaired so that the rubber-ball baseball club of the Sendai factory integrated it with Monopoly Corporation Tohoku branch office in 1980, and Monopoly Corporation Tohoku hardball baseball part (later JT hardball baseball department) used even hardball baseball with what was formed. In addition, the exercise of the first year of the baseball club is told that it was daily work to begin with the stone type-picking of the ground.
A main stadium is completed in 1988. After that even an amateur baseball pennant race including amateur baseball and National High School Baseball Championship came to be used.

The later trial and error

There were few baseball fields that could play regulation baseball in Sendai-shi and the suburbs, and it was necessary to find facilities for a city to perform a pennant race or an exercise of the amateur baseball during other side 2 season before a baseball field (current Sendai citizen Stadium who opened in 2007) that planned maintenance newly in Miyagino being completed in this way while the held number of pennant races largely increased in Miyagi Stadium. Therefore I decide that Sendai-shi takes over a baseball field from JT and offers it open as facilities of the cities and exchange a lease for 2 years from JT side and 2005 and rename a baseball stadium name to the Higashisendai baseball stadium at the same time. It was irregular and, for two years of Naoko, used Rakuten for the exercises before the game.
Redevelopment
In February, 2006, JT agreed Ito-Yokado and the sale of Sendai factory ruins, and the construction of large commercial facilities was planned.
