When he was a minister, for declaration (1883.1) of Prince Napoleon, he faced a problem called the exile of the people who aimed at the French throne.
Because Falliere was sick in those days and was not able to confront a storm of the resistance, I resigned when the Upper House refused his plan. However, in November, the following day, I was chosen as a minister of the Department of Education by a ferry and performed various reform of the school system.
I resigned in May, 1885 and became the Secretary of State for the Home Department in Morris ルビエ cabinet two years later. I changed the position of the Secretary of State for the Home Department for a position of the Minister for Justice in December. He was sent back to the Secretary of State for the Home Department again in February, 1889 and finally took care of the Minister for Justice again from May, 1890 to February, 1892. I was chosen as a member of the Upper House with 417 agreement vs. 23 in Lot-et-Garonne in June, 1890. Falliere continued still fighting independently from the party, but kept influence among the republicans.
I was chosen as the President of the Senate in May, 1899 and kept the position until 1906 chosen as a republic presidential candidate by association of group of left of both Houses.
