Higashi-Maizuru Station (ひがしまいづるえき) is a West Japan Railway Co. (West Japan Railway) in Hamamachi, Maizuru-shi, Kyoto station.

Summary

It is one of the stations with base characteristics in Maizuru-shi that is metropolis of administration, the economy in North Kyoto.

It is a terminal of Maizuru Line and Obama Line, and all trains except the first train, the last train of Obama Line turn it down at the time of the revision at our station on March 17, 2012. Because Kanazawa branch office has jurisdiction over Obama Line as for Maizuru Line Fukuchiyama branch office, the landmark of both branch offices is added to the upbound home signal (Matsuo priest) of our station. In other words, our station yard is the jurisdiction of the Fukuchiyama branch office.

Limited express "まいづる" goes down seven daily up between our Kyoto Station - stations and is run eight, and our station becomes all the terminal.

It was the town which developed rapidly as the military capital led by the Maizuru naval station which was based militarily, and did opening the Edo shogunate of the Sea of Japan side one and only in (1901) in 1901 and had a big station building as a royal suite was installed because the royalty often visited it until World War II, and, new Maizurumachi, as for (Azuma musical dance crane) called east Maizuru-shi in eastern Maizuru-shi, repatriates from the continent to the Maizuru Port returned later once to each place from our station in postwar period. There is much use of business trip now because government offices are concentrated as administrative metropolis in North Kyoto. In addition, I have a branch lines such as middle Maizuru Line and much custody line until (1972) in 1972, and the yard was wide, but, as for the branch line, it is removed a high shelf with becoming it, and high-rise apartments are built now in the ruins.

The elevated station which a high shelf of (1996) is a payment for another with becoming it, and the current station building was built in 1996, and has island expression home one 2 line. Around station

When I leave the north exit and walk a little, a mall spreads out and reaches Maizuru Donggang in around ten minutes on foot. In addition, a high shelf includes shopping centers (Azuma Yale Maizuru store, nickname "らぽーる") around the south exit built with becoming it.

Station square rotary is installed with the north and south, and I contact the various places throughout the city, and there are an express bus platform, the taxi stand to Tokyo, Osaka (Umeda, Namba), Sannomiya, Godo, the Kyoto area, and a sightseeing tour bus (please) is operated from the north exit rotary on a holiday by Kyoto traffic bus.

Is a car to the Maizuru Ferry terminal Maejima Wharf that Shinnihonkai Ferry arrives and departs; approximately seven minutes [2]. A communication bus is operated from the north exit for the many visitors period (refer to Shinnihonkai Ferry official site for the service plan); [3].
