The bypass sets out for National highway No. 330 from the wide Sakae intersection that is a city boundary with Kakazu, Ginowan-shi, Okinawa and Nishihara, Urasoe-shi to Asato, Naha-shi. This section is usually called just a "bypass", but the section in Naha-shi divides the section in Urasoe-shi "according to Asato bypass" with "Urasoe bypass" and may call it. Or I may be invited including Nishihara bypass inaugurated later from the wide Sakae intersection to point, the Ganeko, Ginowan-shi intersection.
A bypass is the thing which there is the in front of opening to traffic old road that originally matched, but an old road does not usually exist in this section. This is because this was planned as a bypass of road (military way) Route 1 (existing National highway No. 58) for the mainland return advance guard. The route name called Ryukyu government way Route 21 was different before return Ryukyu government way Route 41 (section according to red star lily former in current National highway No. 330 from this bypass and Asato, Naha-shi and the section of the Ohashi, Naha street of the belt line in Okinawa prefectural road 221 Naha equal to it), Iso, Urasoe-shi - Kakazu, Ginowan-shi Asato, Naha-shi - Iso, Urasoe-shi at the bypass of Route 1. I am called "a bypass" (free) from that time and, in the road which intersects because it was planned at first as a driveway, am intercrossed, but the sidewalk is installed later and a pedestrian crossing and the signal are several places or are installed. Therefore the most of the intersecting major road are grade separations (the section of approximately 4km from Takushi in Urasoe-shi to Nishihara does not have a signal on the main line). It became National highway No. 330 after mainland return of May, 1972, and the whole line was inaugurated to the wide Sakae intersection in 1975. Okinawa Monorail (Yui rail) inaugurated in 2003 goes along the middle of the road about the section in Naha-shi.
In addition, in Asato intersection - wide Sakae intersection interval before this bypass was inaugurated, in Asato - Shuri Yamakawa interval, in Okinawa prefectural road Route 40 (existing Okinawa prefectural road 29 Naha Kitanaka Castle line), Shuri Yamakawa - 首里儀保間, in Okinawa prefectural road Route 28, 首里儀保 - wide Sakae interval, Okinawa prefectural road Route 5 (existing Okinawa prefectural road 241 Haebaru, Ginowan Line) was a highway. It is still the important road along with the bypass.

Route bus
The bus route name via this section has indication called "bypass way" by all means. As for the bus that a lot of National highway No. 58 way goes along this section in the bus route toward the central part area from the Naha bus terminal, there is little number of the routes. But there is much number.
Large reorganization was carried out taking advantage of the monorail opening to traffic, and, in the city line, the route in parallel with a monorail almost disappeared. It was replaced, and some bus routes toward Omoromachi Station were founded. I avoid a traffic jam in Naha-shi to the Ginowan area by changing to the bus via the bypass at Furujima Station of the monorail and can move it early. Such a usage gradually spreads out, and 21 caretaker of the high-ranking prostitutes downtown area Gushikawa Line is founded in 2009, and the number of buses is increasing, too.
