Northern Kentucky Traffic Bureau

The organization which takes the public transport of the Ken ton county where northern Kentucky Traffic Bureau (ほくぶ Kentucky こうつうきょく, Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, TANK) belongs to the Kentucky side in the suburbs of Ohio Cincinnati, Boone county, the Campbell county. As a result of private Green Line bus (Greenline Bus Company) which took public transport in this area being closed till then in 1973, and having agreed to the establishment of the transportation system which the qualified voter of the relations 3 county cast public funds into, TANK was established [1].

TANK operates 100 buses for the periodical service and 25 vehicles of the demand vs. the application now [2].

In the area where TANK is operated, 3 counties of northern Kentucky are basic, but the service route comes to link the Cincinnati center to each place of 3 counties. But the passenger who wants to advance from the Kentucky side to the Cincinnati center beyond on a bus must change it to a bus of southwestern part Ohio district Traffic Bureau (Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority) (popular name Metro) because the route of TANK does not extend to the former Ohio side from the Cincinnati center. These two transportation networks are different, but they consider TANK and Metro so that the transfer between both becomes easy and sell the common pass ticket again.

Fee structure

From November 1, 2008, as for the fare of TANK, the express bus which "X" was usually referred to to 1.50 dollars, a route number buses was 1.75 dollars. But I have only to pay 1.00 dollars when students from a kindergartener to the twelfth grade (equivalent to a Japanese twelfth grader) get on during the class period of the school. When TANK publishes the pass ticket which is free to get on again and again and is the common pass ticket which tickets are usually for buses, and is for 53.00 dollars, express buses, and is usable in 62.00 dollars, both zone 1 and TANK of METRO for one month, tickets are usually for buses for one month and are for 105.00 dollars, express buses and are 115.00 dollars. As for the coupon for ten times of TANK, 13.50 dollars, express bus use are usually 15.75 dollars bus use. After the summer of 2010, the review of the fee structure and pass ticket was pushed forward, and the thing which was a monthly pass ticket became continuation 30th before from a first use day. In addition, the kind of the new pass ticket including the daily pass is introduced. About the fee structure, the details are shown on a net [3].

South Bank shuttle

On November 13, 2010, the service of the South Bank shuttle (Southbank Shuttle) began as new service. As for this, the slightly small vehicle of the design which imaged an ex-streetcar is used for service between Newport and the co-bottle ton of the Kentucky side by a circulation route linking the Cincinnati center of the Ohio side as a course. The fare is set in 1.00 dollars and low, and the pricing such as pass tickets is different from the common bus, too. A game of baseball (MLB, the Cincinnati Reds) and the American football (NFL, the Cincinnati Bengals) is Cincinnati, and, on one day, a daily pass ticket rate is set cheaply, and the service number is reinforced, and this shuttle bus has the side as the policy to restrain the inflow of the privately-owned car to the Cincinnati center [4].
