Midwest division (NBA)
The district where there was ever the Midwest division (Midwest Division) in western conference of the NBA.

History
Buffalo Braves, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers joined NBA in a 1970-71 season and were founded when the number of the teams increased from 14 to 17. The league was divided into western conference and eastern conference then, and the division by two was installed in the bottom each [1].
I was formed at first in Chicago Bulls [2], Detroit Pistons [3], Milwaukee Bucks [4], four teams of Phoenix Suns [5]. In Bulls and Suns, Pistons and Bucks were participation from eastern division from western division.
Cincinnati Royals which established a stronghold in Ohio Cincinnati until a pre-season in a 1972-73 season moved the stronghold in Missouri St. Louis, Nebraska Omaha [6], and it was in Kansas city = Omaha Kings and joined it, and Phoenix Suns moved to Pacific division.
Denver Nuggets [7], Indiana Pacers [8] increased from ABA in a 1976-1977 season and became six teams. Detroit Pistons moved to [3], central division in a 1978-79 season and became five teams afterwards. New Orleans jazz moved from Louisiana New Orleans to Utah Salt Lake City in a 1979-80 season [9] and it became Utah Jazz and joined it, but Indiana Pacers moved to central division instead.
Chicago Bulls [2], Milwaukee Bucks moved to central division as a substitute for participation [11] [12] Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs which established a stronghold in same Texas when Dallas Mavericks joined it in a 1980-81 season [10] [4].
Kings moved to California Sacramento in a 1985-86 season. When Miami Heat of the expansion team joined it in a 1988-1989 season [13], Kings moved to Pacific division [14]. With [15] to increase Minnesota Timberwolves of the expansion team in a 1989-90 season, Charlotte Hornets joined it from Atlantic division [16], and a heat moved instead [17]. Orlando Magic joined it from central division in a 1990-91 season [18], and Hornets moved instead [16], and the magic moved to Atlantic division in a 1991-92 season, too [17]; [18]. Miami Heat, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic were being on the register roll only for 1 season each.
Team [19], Vancouver Grizzlies [20] which NBA's first Canada had in a 1995-96 season Grizzlies moved to Tennessee Memphis in participation, a 2001-02 season, but was not reorganized the district.
When Charlotte Bobcats joined NBA from a 2004-05 season and increased from 29 teams to 30 teams, it was reported when New Orleans Hornets joined it at first from a 2003-04 season or a 2004-05 season [21], but three division would be installed in both East-West conference afterwards, and the Midwest division was abolished, and Southwest division, Northwest division and two new division were founded.
Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, seven teams of Utah Jazz belonged in the 2003-04 season when it was the last season, and Nuggets, ウルブズ, three teams of the jazz joined Northwest division in Southwest division Mavericks, Rockets, Grizzlies, four teams of Spurs.
It is six times of 11 times followed by Milwaukee Bucks [22] and Utah Jazz in San Antonio Spurs that there was the most number of times that performed the Divisional Championship. It was Minnesota Timberwolves to have achieved the Divisional Championship in the last of eyes in 34 seasons [23]. Seven teams set league best winning rate. By Houston Rockets and two times of San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks once, five teams in total conquer an NBA Final. Among five teams which conquered an NBA Final, four teams except Rockets of the 1994-95 season perform the Divisional Championship. Six teams have gone into a play-off twice from this district. Six of seven teams already participated in a play-off all six teams once once in a 2003-04 season in a 1985-86 season. In a 2003-04 season, all six teams winning rate which went into a play-off was higher than 50%.
Unlike the name of the district, several teams were at the remote position from the middle western district, and, in Sacramento Kings and Vancouver Grizzlies, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic were located in the southeastern part in the West Coast.
It was Denver Nuggets to have played for the longest time in this district and belonged in 28 seasons. Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Charlotte Hornets belong only in 1 season.
