ゴフ Island (English: Gough Island) is a volcanic island of the U.K. territory in South Atlantic Ocean.
I am located at the 350km southeast, 40°21'S, 09°53'W of Tristan da Cunha. The permanent resident is not, and there is only the staff of the weather station which U.K. and South Africa maintain from 1956. Therefore, it is handling as the uninhabited island formally. An overseas territory of the U.K. is a part of "St. Helena Ascension and Tristan da Cunha" and is considered to be an islet belonging to a big island of Tristan da Cunha administratively.
ゴフ Island was registered with UNESCO world heritage (natural inheritance) alone in 1995 (in the core area 65 km²). In 2004, イナクセシブル Island near Tristan da Cunha Motojima spread and was registered.
