The carbon heater is a kind of the electric heaters. Because I use a carbon fiber (carbon) which is conductive material as materials of the heating element, there is this name.
Characteristic
They are common, and, as for the principle to let I apply an electric current, and heating element emit infrared rays mainly, a good point and the fault resemble closely with general electric heater and halogen heater.
However, using the quartz tube which the electric heater used the Nichrome wire which generally coated with a quartz tube as heating element, but enclosed a carbon fiber in an inert gas with the carbon heater is different. There is a characteristic that much energy is emitted in the infrared domain from a carbon heater than the halogen heater which applied existing Nichrome wire heating element and halogen bulb. This spectrum becomes the peak on around 4μm from 2μm of the far infrared rays domain, but this can heat a high object of 含水率 particularly efficiently to overlap a peak (around 3μm) of the absorption spectrum of the water. Therefore, it is said that I show a good characteristic as a heat source of the heaters and is rearranging an electric heater represented by halogen heater. [The source required]
