レムシャイト (Remscheid) is a city of the Federal Republic of Germany. I belong to the Dusseldorf precinct of nortiger in = ヴェストファーレン state. The Ren NEP (German version) that is a part of レムシャイト is a birthplace of the Wilhelm X-rays that won the first Nobel Prize in Physics now.

Geographical features, industrial

A manufacturing town near the Ruhr. For the city of the neighborhood, Leverkusen is located Wuppertal, the 20 kilos southwest in Solingen, the 10 kilos north to the approximately 10 kilos west.

History

In 1808, I obtained a city special privilege (but the Ren NEP merged by レムシャイト gets a city special privilege in 1230). I received an intense air strike in 1943, and, in World War II, the town was almost destroyed. I achieve revival in postwar period and reach the present afterwards.

Traffic

In a pike between レムシャイト Solingen, there is a ミュングステナー bridge located to approximately 107 meters from the ground (Müngstener Brücke) and is the highest on the iron bridge in Germany.
