ホスミドマイシン (fosmidomycin) is one of the antibiotics isolated from the culture fluid of ストレプトミケス genus bacteria [1]. I specifically inhibit isoprenoid biosynthetic DXP レダクトイソメラーゼ which is non-a key to mevalonate course enzyme. The Ki level is 99 nM for 80 nM, franc Sisera genus (Francisella) enzyme for 38 nM, tubercle bacillus enzyme for E. coli enzyme [2].
The discovery of the fault mevalonate course in the Falciparum shows that I can use ホスミドマイシン and other repressors as antimalarial [3].
