The penguin that the Magellan penguin (a scientific name: Spheniscus magellanicus) belongs to the Humboldt penguin genus. Alias マゼラニックペンギン, jackass penguin. It is medium size in the penguin at approximately 70cm in length, approximately 3.8 kg in weight.

It spreads in South American Pacific coast (from the 42 degrees S point of Chile to Cape Horn) and Atlantic coast (from the 29 degrees S point to Tierra del Fuego).
