In サマヴェル, K shoes (K Shoes) were born as a son of the people of establishment of a business [¹] in Westmoreland ^{[n 2]}, Windermere. He learned from 1883 through 1885 in a high music school of Berlin and learned from 1885 through 1887 under Paris in royal College of Music of London. He studies under Friedrich keel by composition. サマヴェル became a professor of royal College of Music in 1894 and commanded the own work by the music festival of Leeds ^{[n 4]} of 1895 through 1897 and Birmingham ^{[n 5]}. He is appointed in 1901 by the music researcher of the Board of Education and the Scottish education section.

He gained success by "mermaid man The Forsaken Merman (1895) got rid" of, "immortal suggestion Intimations of Immortality" (in 1895, he commands this by Leeds music festival of 1907), a chorus work such as "passion The Passion of Christ" during the lifetime, but is known for song cycle such as "mode Maud" [³] (1898) and "young A Shropshire Lad [⁴] (1904) of Shropshire" mainly now. The style of サマヴェル is conservative and indicates influence of Mendelssohn and Brahms. He is concerned with an instructional activity positively and becomes the principal music researcher of the Board of Education in 1920. He was made a knight in 1929. The violin concerto of the composition was presented アディラ F key re-に to in 1930.
