Development
"カデット" was designed in 1933 to be equal to an official demand for the basic training plane. It was the biplane of the single figure prop スタッガード wing having all metal body of the opening-type cockpit, tail assembly with the prop, rigid undercarriage. The prototype was equipped with アルグス As 8B air-cooled engine of output 104kW (139 hp) [2].
The initial mass production batch of He 72A that was a first mass production type remained the As 8B engine, but the subsequent mass production type was equipped with アルグス As 8R of output 112kW (150 hp). As for He 72A, it was replaced He 72B which was a main mass production type equipped with an S ハルスケ Sh 14A star-shaped engine of output 120kW (160 bhp) [2].
He 72B was produced as land plane-shaped He 72B-1 and seaplane type He 72BW ゼーカデット (Seekadett) of the 双 float. The development type of private specifications became He 72B-3 エーデルカデット (Edelkadett) [2].
History of the use
"カデット" was placed on duty in the National Socialism aviation army corps before Luftwaffe was organized. This plane was used for an attack duty as basic training plane later in the independent Slovak air force in Luftwaffe [2].
