Macrolide

Macrolide

The macrolide (macrolide) is the generic name of the organic compound having large ring lactone comprised of atoms more than 12 [1]. I am called the macrore-doh [2].

There is various macrolide to a natural product compound, but it is a macrolide derivative antibiotic to be particularly useful. A macrolide derivative natural product having various bioactivity including antibacteria medicine, antifungus or the immunosuppressant is known, but points to the macrolide derivative antibacteria medicine when I call it with macrolide without declining it particularly in the field of medical care [3]. (I know a lot about an article macrolide system antibiotic)

ピクロマイシン discovered than an actinomyces in 1950 is the first macrolide derivative antibiotic. It is Robert Barnes Woodward that named macrolide for a series of glucosides which assume large cyclic lactone aglycone in 1957. In addition, he is the researcher who established the stereospecific synthesis of macrolide method by a series of studies on total synthesis of the erythromycin for the first time. A lot of natural products except the macrolide derivative antibiotic are discovered today, and include the large cyclic lactone except the glucoside, and call it with macrolide [4]; [2].

Classification

  1. Macrolide derivative antibacteria medicine
  2. Polyene derivative antifungus
  3. Other macrolide
