According to the tradition, I am founded in the 16th century by Hibiri holy priest (にっしゅうしょうにん). It was in the first half of the 16th century and (there is the opinion, "I aimed at the Western Paradise by potalaka crossing the sea") that Hibiri holy priest aimed at Tang from Kii country met with a disaster and drifted to the crucian carp shop of Ryukyu kingdom Kin (port of wealth flower). I am based in the stalactite cave in Kin and work on propagation, and it is informed that I founded Kanonji afterwards. The stalactite cave is called Hibiri sinus (にっしゅうどう), 永酒堂 (えいしゅどう) and is used now as a sake brewery of the Awamori.
