The Beninese national emblem (body of Benin occurs) was established on April 9, 1964 and revived by democratization on August 1, 1990 although it was abolished once by socialist revolution of 1975.
Two corners are put in the top of the national emblem, and the corn which is Beninese main cereals is clogged up in the corner. Two leopards which is a Beninese country beast are posted on both sides and support a central shield. The shield is done for four minutes, and the castle of the person from ソンバ is put on the left and shows the Beninese history. A Beninese star-shaped decoration is put in the top right corner. A sailing boat is put in the lower right and expresses the contact with the European. A palm tree is arranged for the lower left. It costs scroll of motto Fraternité, Justice, Travail (friendship, justice, labor) of the country written in French of the official language in the bottom of the national emblem.
