Life
I was born before 1459 or it, but the record about period is poor for childhood to often apply to a composer of the Renaissance. Possibility from ghost town オリギュー (current オー = ヴィーニュ) in the suburbs of the ブローニュ シュル email is high. At the bishop seat church of the nail in southwestern Amiens, I take office as a sacred song captain including activity as a chorister and a teacher in 1483 in 1477. The priest seemed to work at this time, too and became the protector of the choirboy in Cathedral of Notre Dame at Amiens in 1500. I stayed in Grenoble in 1501 and instructed a choirboy, but I left the ground in the next year and seemed to serve queen Anne of Brittany somehow or other. Then the mouton often composed music as a central composer of the French Imperial Court formally or unofficially at the opportunity for the national affairs.
The mottetto [, as for Christ, 勝 shines Christus vincit] was composed for a conclave of 1513. When the Leo tenth picked by the Pope liked music of the mouton clearly, and mottetto was given in 1515 by mouton, I gave you a honorary title and repaid it. This is a talk when I had mew an audience with the Pope according to the Francois first just after の fight in Bologna in Mali. This visit to Italy is the probably first and only traveling abroad of the mouton.
I have a visit from Swiss music theorist グラレアヌス from 1517 through 1522. グラレアヌス wrote sense of the praise fluently and stated, "anyone has a copy of his score". In music article "dodecacordon Dodecachordon of グラレアヌス," some music examples of the mouton are used.
The mouton wants to be given to Lorenzo D Medici; "may be the editor of the collection of well-known written copy music called "Medici manuscript".
Although it is extremely very likely, in a talk of Francois first and Henry VIII in camping ground le kiang gong Dole (Le Camp de Drap d'Or), the story that mouton was the person in charge of the party of the music is not proved.
The sun easily moved in the most later years. As a successor clergyman of ロイゼ コンペール which left the world in 1518, I might receive a benefice. The sun was easy and died and was buried on the ground.
A work and influence
The mouton showed huge influence as both a composer and a teacher. Among mouton works, mottetto more than nine pieces of マニフィカト, 15 music for mass, 20 pieces of chansons, 100 pieces exists. Because it was Imperial Court composer working under the king, the probability that a work survived was high, but, besides, it spread widely and was done copying music, and it was saved to break it as those days. Furthermore, famous score publishing company オッタヴィアーノ ペトルッチ decides the publication of the music for mass complete works of the mouton (in the days of creation of the score publication, it was usually common to publish a collection of music by plural composers).
Outwardly the composition style of the mouton is similar to Josquin Deprez, and the technique of the canon, the polyphony manner of writing by the equal voice part fellow are used together with 通模倣様式. However, the mouton is apt to do composition standardized in rhythm and structure in comparison with Josquin and hardly cares about comparison of the structure.
The mouton seemed to notice a feeling of chord and harmony by an encounter with the music in Italy in about 1500. I was the transition periods from line-like music to the music that harmony projected in those days. (e.g., in a rather light expression form such as フロットーラ, the texture which is homophonic and the clearly occasionally diatonic scale-like law of harmony are characteristic.)
The mouton continued being a craftsman of the superior music through a life and I received a high evaluation from contemporaries and had many admirers from a protector of the imperial family. It was the late 16th century, and it was after, and the work of the mouton went through a version and attracted many composers. The composer of coming ages used mottetto [Noe, noe psallite noe] and [Quaeramus cum pastoribus] of Christmas for a cantus firmus of the music for mass composition among other things.
