Hiroji Kato (かとうひろじ, from September 15, 1923 to September 15, 2013) is a shogi shogi player. AichiNagoya-shiA native place. Ichitaro Doi honor expert is of the same discipline. Shogi player number 42. The second son of Kato bamboo Jiro (five steps of shogi shogi players).

Person
One of the Nisei shogi players a little in the shogi world. Ichitaro Doi is of the same discipline with the sixth grade in 1938. It is special advance, 1959 eight steps a year, 1984 nine steps a year to 1944 four steps a year, 1947 six steps a year. A March, 1990 retirement.
I am defeated though I challenge Yasuharu Oyama by the 14th king war in 1964. Game for deciding ranking Class A ten years in total.
I acted as a director of the Japanese Shogi Federation for a long time.
On September 15, 2013, I die in National Defence Medical College Hospital in Tokorozawa-shi, Saitama [1]. 90 years old death.
