Higashinakano (Higashi that) is the place name of Hachioji-shi, Tokyo. The zip code 192-0351 (district under jurisdiction of Hachioji south post office). The population is 4,111 people (as of the Basic Resident Register end of March, 2013 [1]).

Geography

The area that is located in the southern part of Hachioji-shi, Tokyo. It is adjacent with Hodokubo, Hino-shi in Horinouchi, the north in Matsugaya, the west in Otsuka, the south in the east. History

History

As for the genesis of middle Nomura (Higashinakano), it is not sure, but it is thought that I have already at least existed in the Azuchimomoyama era because the name is seen in the record of the land survey conducted by Toyotomi Hideyoshi carried out in the Tensho era year.

Place name

Origin

I called myself middle Nomura before the Edo era, but renamed it to Higashinakano-mura whereas there was Nomura (existing Nakanomachi, Hachioji-shi, Sanno, Nakano, Honcho, Nakano, Akatsukicho) in the Tama county Komiya territory in the same name, and Nomura did it with Nishinakano-mura in (1882), Komiya territory in 1882. (according to Nomura, I am located the east in Komiya territory.)

Subsection

In Higashinakano, I just succeed the credit in local group called "a block" of the Edo era. The unit of the district of the current neighborhood association is sorted in 3 districts every subsection, too.

  • Yatsu case
The northwestern part. Because it is in the valley, and there was eight places of Tando, it is said that what was called "entering eight" changed.

The northeastern part. It is in the chasm that is said to be Amano Tando.

Character

A character was reorganized to land tax reforms of (1875) in Higashinakano in 1875, but was changed for the name that was only given a number "one" ... "29" on this occasion.

There are many things which are used in the names of the old character abolished with the reorganization of the character among inhabitants conventionally now.

Tradition

勝五郎

The story that told that a boy 8-year-old Otari Masaru Den Goro who lived in Nomura (existing: Higashinakano) during (civil administration five years) in 1822 said, "oneself died for smallpox at the age of 6 years old in children Tozou of Hodokubo-mura (existing Hodokubo, Hino-shi) formerly" and was reborn after going to the next world. I am thrown into a large uproar, and the story is widely known until the Edo era, and Atsutane Hirata invites 勝五郎 to one's mansion and gathers up the contents which I heard in a book called "勝五郎再生記聞" in those days. Road

School

The university headquarters is put in Hodokubo, Hino-shi, but the copy of the campus area extends over Higashinakano (Amano) and is located.

Shinto shrine

It merged with (1889), ten neighboring villages in 1889, and Higashinakano-mura became reason Kimura, but the first village mayor was Nobushige Osawa from Higashinakano (the term of office: in 1889 in (1889 in) -1897 year in (1897)). Takaharu Inoue (the term of office: in 1897 in (1897 in) -1898 year in (1898 for) .1899 years in (1899 in) -1903 year in (1903)) after all in 1897 as a 2s village mayor from Higashinakano takes office.
