Summary
Kaijin-mura, Kokonokaichi-mura, 3 カ villages of Itsukaichi-mura merged in 1889 and were established. I abolished it afterwards by merging with Funabashicho, Katsushikacho, eight Sakae-mura, code village, Tsukada-mura in (1937) in 1937, and Funabashi-shi having been installed. Population is relatively concentrated under Chiba, and Funabashicho is said to have prospered next to Choshi as a post town and a depot in the Edo era. Refer to Funabashi-shi for the origin of the name of a street.
