History
The station was not established at the time of the Seto Line opening of business and, to a nearby housing estate, started a business (1936) on June 3 in 1936. It is the station which the Seto electric railroad before the Meitetsu merger opened last.
During World War II, I was suspended, but, unlike other stations which became the stop for the same period, reopened immediately after the war.
It was an unmanned station, but a station building was built in (1981) in 1981, and a station employee came to be deployed for a long time afterwards. However, I rebuilt (2006), a station building in 2006, and a station central control system was introduced and was become no person again.

There is not the indication of the home number on the home.
Because an express, a semi-express is high-speed, and the home passes very narrowly, attention is necessary.
There are not bridge and the yard railroad crossing, and there is a doorway in each home each.
Because the station building of the downhill platform is only width same as a platform, the ticket examiner which there is not of the door performing entrance processing and participation processing each is installed tandemly. In addition, the doorway of automatic ticket machine facilities and the doorway of the home become different from the same reason.

Explanatory note
- As well as Hyotan-yama Station of ^ Kintetsu Nara Line, "箪" was transcribed in a correct letter (a part of "single" becomes "單".Unicode 7C1E).
- Because a downhill platform was small, for the setting of the barrier-free slope and the maintenance of wicket facilities, I extended a home for one nearer Sakaemachi, and I dismantled Seto close home 1 bisection, and, like ^ Seto-Shiyakushomae Station, large-scale construction was necessary, and enforcement of the construction was late. The construction of the station building was not enough on an introduction day of the station central control system, and the downhill home side built the wooden temporary station building and I put a person in charge and coped. The station capital improvement construction was finished in the end of March, 2007.
