Kiyoshi Naoi

Kiyoshi Naoi (chase Kiyoshi, from April 1, 1915 to November 23, 1997) is a Japanese novelist.

I am born in Hiroshima-shi, Hiroshima and work for the ward office after Takikawa, Hyogo graduation from junior high school. I go to the front of the Chinese front by enlistment and, with illness, am admitted to the mainland after the repatriation. By the rare disease that a whole body became stiff like "a stone image of Jizo", I seemed to contract a disease for local local disease. After that I lack in physical freedom, and it is bedridden life and is forced to medical treatment while receiving nursing of old mother.

I am moved with "A Dark Night's Passing" that I picked up because of too much a party of companion in a sickbed and read it until I recite this and pray for not studying under author Naoya Shiga. Shiga sympathized with the circumstances by correspondence, too and pushed forward the writing of the novel frequently while encouraging reading, but the manuscript of the novel "clear stream" had been sent at hand in 1943 and praised the workmanship, and this became the debut to the literary world of Naoi. By the way, it is the nom de plume that the name of Kiyoshi Naoi considers his viewpoint called the war disabled, and Naoya Shiga attached then.

"A clear stream" With the I-novel which I described the faint thought that the chief character who harked back to は author put to the attendant nurse in, it was taken favorably in the literary world. When I seemed to be stouthearted and I write the second product from the badness of the review for "a clear stream" at one time and was troubled for Naoi, the high praise of Shiga who is a teacher in particular is said to be it when I reopened writing by a letter of the encouragement of Shiga.

I came to occupy footing steadily in the literary world of the wartime in spite of being 寡作, and I put "clear stream" other works together, and a collection of novels was published, but I let it leave to a trifle by an air raid before release, and the virgin publication was late for "clear stream" (Koyama Bookstore) in 1946. I got a companion after the war and was able to meet Shiga in the later years that were master and pupil relations by the correspondence directly only once for a longer time. I won the fifth Taiko Hirabayashi literary prize in "the river of the thread", and "delight" becomes the candidate product in the 61st prize (the first half of 1969) in the 27th Akutagawa Prize (the first half of 1952) "a deep water" (there is no prize winner in 27 times as for 61 times Kaoru Shoji and Hideo Takubo). The biography has a lot on Hiroyuki Agawa "Naoya Shiga" (new tide library, top and bottom).
