The redevelopment building which was built by the Konnyacho redevelopment business that Aoi Tower (blue tower) was located in Kouyamachi, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka-shi. A slant of the JR Shizuoka Station north exit is opposite and is located. The design is are eye A Co., Ltd. The construction is Takenaka Kiuchi Suzuyo joint venture.

Summary

The compound ridge opened at (125m) 25 stories above the ground and 2 stories underground in April, 2010. An office and a bookstore, a restaurant enter it. Shizuoka-shi art museum (English notation: Shizuoka City Museum of Art) opened in May of the year. The parking lot "Inamori parking head office" 10 stories above the ground and 1 story underground is completed prior to a compound ridge to neighbor ridge in September, 2008. Because I connect it with a compound ridge, it is available as a parking lot.

• The establishment of - Shizuoka station square Konnyacho district city area redevelopment association is authorized in May, 2006. I start construction from June of the year.
• - parking lot ridge is completed in September, 2008.

  • I open except - "Shizuoka-shi art museum" on April 1. "The Toda Bookstore Shizuoka head office" enters the first-floor - ground the second floor under the ground.

Shizuoka-shi art museum

Of Aoi Tower is on the third floor. Shizuoka-shi culture promotion foundation Foundation is managed. The area of the exhibition room is the structure that three approximately 1,10^0m2 in total, studding 4.1-4.5m and national treasure or important cultural property are available for the display of country designated cultural assets. I display the wide genres such as a design or an industrial arts work. The holding of the wide plan exhibition, event that is the art museum which does not have a store product, and is not tied up by a specific genre of this art museum big; characterize it.

Logo

I express "I open "image to bind an area and the world together" of the ring of the person around the art museum" by putting two Japanese yen on a motif in Mount Fuji symbolizing Shizuoka. The creator is Kakigi Masahiro Hara. In addition, this logo wins a silver medal of One Show which is one of three blockbuster prizes of the world [¹].

• I create new "Shizuo or culture" while succeeding to the history of Shizuo and climate, traditional culture and send it for the world.
• I carry out the display of the wide genre such as a design or industrial arts to a main shaft with art in a good balance.
• I aim at "the interchange base of the art culture" open to the town.
• I aim at "the art museum full of life" where everybody gathers from a child to the elderly.

In the museum shop, I sell the regular products approximately 200 points. There is the corner where I gathered wooden goods and the book jacket of the seaweed, the Mount Fuji-shaped coasters which book about art, stationery and sum accessory having high design, various goods such as toys and prefecture maker dealt with and attracts university students' attention [³].

Opening time

From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. On the closed day, it is year-end and New Year on Monday (in the case of a holiday, I am opened and am closed the next day).

several visitors

• It was 295,000 people, and the number of the visitors of the first year became nearly 6 times of the Shizuoka art gallery (50,000 a year) of the forerunner.
• The number of the visitors per 1 plan exhibition was after 30,000 portions, and the visitors from the Shizuoka suburbs occupied 45% [⁴].
