History

The section of current Fujikoshi Line started a business by the hand of the Toyama light railway [1]. The Toyama light railway let you open the section equal to the later Sasazu line (I abolish the Sasazu Line once in 1933 and abolish it again in 1975 though it revives by Tomiyama place iron after the war).

17.6km between Toyama Station (current Dentetsu-Toyama Station) - Sasazu Station started a business (1914) on December 6 in 1914. However, achievements were worsened by the opening of business of Japanese National Railways Takayama Main Line, and I received compensation (773,150 yen) of the government [2], and the Toyama railroad was dissolved (1933) on April 20 in 1933, and, in the Horikawa new station (current Minami-Toyama Station) - Sasazu Station interval, it was the abolition. The Toyama Station - Horikawa new station interval to stay lay across the east deep water of the Toyama city area and was transferred to new wealth south railroad because it was brisk as a connecting line with the carriage of goods from a factory along the line and the railroad (current Kamidaki Line) managed by Toyama.

(1937), the wealth south railroad were affiliated with the Toyama electric railroad established in advance of traffic unification in eastern prefecture in 1937 and were complicated formally in (1941) in 1941. It became Toyamachiho Railroad by traffic size unification of January 1 (1943) in 1943.
