The spotted turtle genus (spotted turtle ぞく, spotted turtle genus, scientific name: Mauremys) is one of the genus of the spotted turtle department. A result that they steal conventional Hana from molecular system analysis, and the genus (Ocadia) and the shield bug genus (Chinemys) are included in this genus is provided.

The following kinds are included.

イバーソンイシガメ listed as Mauremys iversoni is Minami spotted turtle (usually female) and a breeding mongrel between ミスジハコガメ [1] or Cuora cyclornata (usually male). Similarly, the tortoise listed as Pritchard spotted turtle Mauremys pritchardi is the breeding with shield bug and the Minami spotted turtle and a natural mongrel [1]. It is not a rare thing that a seed of the spotted turtle department grows, but it has not been yet argued about the Pritchard spotted turtle by a mongrel. イバーソンイシガメ is seen only under breeding and will not be a kind because most males are sterile.

System

By the molecular system analysis using mtDNA, the place of origin becomes the sisters group of the ハコガメ genus. About the internal system relations, the following result is provided [2].

The spotted turtle genus

Minami spotted turtle M. mutica

Steal Ann naan; M. annamensis

チチュウカイイシガメ M. leprosa

Greek spotted turtle M. rivulata

カスピイシガメ M. caspica

Steal Hana; M. sinensis

Japanese spotted turtle M. japonica

Guangdong shield bug M. nigricans

Shield bug M. reevesii (including オオアタマクサガメ M. megalocephala) [3]
