Sam Taylor (Sam Taylor, from July 12, 1916 to October 5, 1990) takes up a hit at the time from 1960s through 1980s and is the American tenor sax player who got popularity in Japan. I may be called Sam the man Taylor. I am known for "harem nocturne".

Origin

I am born in United States Tennessee in 1916.

Taylor who became famous for "harem nocturne" visited Japan afterwards in the 1950s and left popular song, enka ballad and blues, R & B, a lot of recording of the pop music. The nickname "an emperor of the mood tenor."

I was not well-conditioned and stopped performance activity during disease medical treatment from about 1989. In 1990, I died because of liver cancer. 74 years old death.

Episode

I play with Eiji Kitamura who is Japanese clarinetist. The clarinet of Kitamura whom Sam hoped for fell into the hands of comic story teller, Kosanji Yanagiya who were a fan of Sam Taylor.

A guest appeared for "the 25th NHK Red and White Singing Contest" of the broadcast on December 31, 1974, and Akira Nishikino was in charge of the accompaniment of "the song of the flower". In addition, a guest appeared in a broadcast "hit studio of the night" on October 2, 1978 and music of Harumi Miyako let "a woman resemble it in anything" and played a sax.
