Tenth generation Riemon, Ayabe (as for あやべりうえもん, (Manen first year June 13 (July 30, 1860) -1932 year (1932) January 2) a businessman, Mayor first Kawagoe.popular name, Taro Mine.

Life

The person of Ayabe is the business magnate who came as the work in salt, oil, manure calling himself "Mari" by a name in Musashi country Kawagoe (Kawagoe-shi, Saitama) Kitacho since (1700) for Genroku era 13 years. It was the family who played an active part as Kawagoe feudal clan purveyance for the government and followed が Riemon, Ayabe from generation to generation. It is Taro Mine to have been born in (1860) in the Manen first year as the tenth generation. I open a store, and, as for the person of officer of textiles, the 5, Kawagoe bank of a river of the Shingashi River knows that it was 巨商 which hit the trade of supplies with Edo by water transportation by the record of the person of officer of textiles of (1764) for age of an emperor 14 years. In addition, the present head of a household of the predecessors in the family line (nine generations) was the one who cast an enormous sum for the excavation of the canal of the Shingashi River and ran the shipping shop when the Senba bank of a river was completed in the Kawagoe center. The each generation present head of a household took in culture of Edo from such a process and I did all night sitting for national economic activities and owned enormous cultural assets (the collection of books).

The tenth Riemon contributed to economical development and culture promotion of Kawagoe from such cultural soil. I participated in the foundation of the 85th national bank (forerunner of Saitama Bank - Saitama Resona Bank) which was Saitama only national bank with (1878), Goro Yokota soldier of the Imperial Guard, Kihei Kurosu, Nishimura half gate-guard office, the business magnate of Yutaka Yamazaki and others Kawagoe feudal clan purveyor people in 1878, and in front of unified duties as the president later at (1898), a national bank business expiration of a term in 1898 when it was based on the disposal method in particular in stocks Bank, 85th Bank. In addition, I was engaged in Kawagoe savings bank and Hanno Bank foundation. When (1900), a country enforced the Board of Trade regulations in 1900, I established the Kawagoe Board of Trade (the current Kawagoe chamber of commerce) which was the Saitama's first chamber of commerce and took the job of the president for approximately 30 years from (1903) in 1903. I established Kawagoe horse tramway in (1902) in 1902 and I went into power supply business first in Saitama in the next year and established Kawagoe light and took office as those presidents. I build the first Kawagoe thermal power station in Saitama in (1904) in 1904, and, in the next year, in Kawagoe, a light becomes the town where I burnt first in the prefecture. The Kawagoe horse tramway was renamed for the cause by Kawagoe electric railroad, and the Saitama's first train opened the electricity between (1939), Kawagoe - Omiya in 1906. In addition, I found Musashi water train in (1913) in 1913 and step forward for hydraulic power generation business, and the Musashi water train is complicated with Kawagoe train service (current Seibu Kokubunji Line, Seibu Shinjuku Line) in (1920) in 1920. The Musashi water train was merged to an empire light, but I would separate iron orbit section, and Riemon started SEIBU Railway (former) (I took the company name of "Seibu" from the Seibu track that Musashi water train absorbed and am complicated with former) SEIBU Railway (in Musashino railroad and 1945, and current SEIBU Railway will be born). Riemon became the promoter of 京越鉄道 which linked Kawagoe - Ikebukuro again (this is realized as the Tobu going up to Tokyo main line later).

It was Riemon that Riemon provided land in (1902) in 1902, and Kawagoe Hall (forerunner of the current Kawagoe civic center) was completed as an assembly room, and contributed to development of Kawagoe, but avoided the participation in politics. However, I take office as the honorary Kawagoe mayor in form depending on the request from a townsman in (1917) in 1917 when Kawagoe town administration is full of confusion by Taisho democracy. When the municipal organization enforcement that became complicated, and was late incorporated Senba village in (1922) in 1922 and carried it out, I acted as Mayor first generation of Kawagoe-shi where it was first in the city in Saitama and, in the next year, stopped the job.

While Riemon with great contribution as development of Saitama was regretted, it left the world as well as (1932), Kawagoe-shi in 1932. Age at death 72.
