In 1943, the Vargas Administration isolated 6 strategic districts namely Ponta Porã, イグアス, amateur par, Rio Branco, Guaporé, Fernando デ ノローニャ archipelago located in the border with participation in a war to World War II of Brazil and decided what the direct control governed. Ponta Porã and イグアス were put back after the war, but 4 other districts were considered to be (Rio Branco changes its name from Roraima and Guaporé to Rondonia in commemoration of Marechal Rondon (English version)) as an associate state.

A rectangular domain was separated from Goias and was considered to be a federal direct control ward to put new capital Brasilia in 1960. The domain of the previous federal direct control ward namely Rio de Janeiro and the outskirts were considered to be State of Guanabara at the same time. In 1962, the Acre associate state was promoted to the state.

In 1975, the State of Guanabara was incorporated into the State of Rio de Janeiro as the local government (Município), and Rio de Janeiro city became the state capital. In 1977, the southern part of the mark グロッソ state was isolated and became the mark グロッソ de through state which assumed Campo Grande (English version) city a state capital.

On December 22, 1981, Rondonia that assumed Porto ヴェーリョ a state capital was founded by the Joan Batista デ オリヴェイラ フィゲイレード (English version) President and was taken effect on January 4, 1982.

The division system of the constitution (Portuguese version) ranges at the present in Brazilian 1988. The definition of the associate state of the federal direct control is left in a rule, but does not exist now because Roraima and amateur par are promoted to the state, and Fernando デ ノローニャ Islands were integrated with the State of ペルナンブーコ. I was assumed the Tocantins state which the northern part of Goias was isolated at the same time, and assumed Miracema do Norte a state capital [1]. In July, 1989, the state legislature approved a project to build the Parma's city in the geographical center of the state [1].
