The village where the Komada village (こまだむら) ever existed in Soraku-gun, Kyoto. I am equivalent to Shimokoma with Hishida in the northern part of current Seika-cho.

Geography
In the west, Tanabecho, Tsuzuki-gun (existing Kyotanabe-shi), the east touched the north with Yamajochou, Soraku-gun (existing Kizugawa-shi), the south in Inada-mura, Soraku-gun (existing Seika-cho). Kizugawa flowed through the west end of the Komada village. Hishida village was separated from Shimokoma-mura by soot Tanikawa [1].
Former Nara Highway (歌姫越) [2] lies in the north and south of the Komada village [3]. JR Gakken city line (Katamachi Line) and Kintetsu Kyoto Line run along Kyoto way 22, and there is Shimokoma Station of the Gakken city line in the neighborhood of border of Hishida and Shimokoma, and it is next to Shimokoma Station, and there is Komada Station of Kyoto Line. 京奈和自動車道 lies in the north and south in the western part of today's Shimokoma, and there is Shimokoma, Seika interchange.
History
There were two routes of the way which went along a way and the west coast (Tanabe) that went along the east bank (Uji) of Kizugawa for a course of 春日詣 which linked Heijokyo to Heiankyo, and the way which went along the west coast went along former Nara Highway [4]. I moved to the way via the west coast from the way via the east bank with the times, and it was in the latter half, and peace nobles went along former Nara Highway in the Heian era [4].
About the Hishida village, the description called "Yamashiro country Hishida hotel" is seen in "Yamato Kasuga Shrine document" of (1244) for Kangen era two years and knows that there was a hotel along Nara Highway from this time [3]. According to "Kyoto geographical book," 360 85 houses lived in the Meiji 10s, and 56 fields were it in a silkworm bean, 蕃薯, processed tea as more than 9tans, field more than 14, a product [3].
About Shimokoma-mura in "貞信公記" of Tenkyo era three years (940 years) with the description of the Shimokoma village [1]. According to "Kyoto geographical book," 360 204 houses lived in the Meiji 10s, and more than 131 fields were it in a pea, rape, cotton with seeds, a cigarette as more than 12 fields, product [1].
Because municipality organization was enforced in (1889) in 1889, Shimokoma-mura merged, and, Hishida village, it was in Komada village [3]. (1931), Komada village, Inada-mura, Hosono-mura merged and became the Kawanishi village for 1,931 years, and Kawanishi village and Yamada Zhuang village were complicated in (1951) in 1951, and it was in an essence village, and it enforced town organization in (1955) in 1955, and it was in Seikacho [3].
