Heinkel He 112 which I am examining

Heinkel He112 is a single-engine reciprocating fighter developed before World War II in German Heinkel Corporation. It was the body which was modern in all metal planes of reverse gal type for those days, but beat it for comparison examination with Messerschmitt Bf109, and, having an oval wing peculiar to Heinkel Corporation, as for the regulation adoption in Luftwaffe, it was not. It is produced a few for export, and I purchase it, and a sealing up-style increase trial manufacture model performs the comparison examination with the fighter in 96 sets of warships 12 afterwards in the Japanese Navy.

Development

The German Air Ministry showed the specifications of the succeeding fighter of Heinkel He51 in 1933, but it was He112 that Heinkel Corporation developed for this. He112 was all metal single-engine monoplanes, and the main wing had the oval wing that it might be said if peculiar to Heinkel Corporation of the reverse gal type. In addition, I drew the outside and took the wheel interval in spite of being the main gear of the model widely to facilitate the handling at the time of the run above the ground. The cockpit made much of the view of the pilot and assumed it an opening type. About the engine, it carried rolls ロイスケストレル made in the U.K.

I compared it with Bf109, Ar80, Fw159 which subscribed for the same specifications, and the trial manufacture first unit completed in 1935 was examined. As a result, it was recognized that speed was inferior to the rise performance more than 30km/h late from Bf109V-1 equipped with the same engine. I started the production of the improved model based on this result in Heinkel Corporation, but He112 has decided a mass production of Bf109 by the reason of a seat not having been a sealing up type in the Air Ministry when weight was heavier than Bf109, and the body shape including the main wing did not be suitable for a mass production. However, I decided to follow it for regulation adoption of He112 in Heinkel Corporation, and to continue repairing it because I had superior performance for a standard at the time generally.

The later development

I replaced an engine with Jumo210Da, and increase trial manufacture model V4 which repaired a main wing shape with a cockpit as a sealing up type recorded a maximum of 485km/h in speed, but was dull of the reaction of the Air Ministry afterwards. Furthermore, I replaced an engine with strong Jumo210Ea, and V-9 which designed the body again, and became a lightweight compact was produced as a model machine of He112B-0. This body which made the first flight in 1937 gave the maximum speed more than Bf109B 40km/h, and even other performance was superior to Bf109 in most sections. Originally it was the design that considered kineticism and use on the ground in comparison with Bf109 made with speed performance serious consideration and expected this plane in Heinkel Corporation that He112 was adopted in this by Luftwaffe.

However, the main fighter becomes Bf109 for the reason of a shape being suitable for short-term mass production, and He112 defeated by examination will be produced for export. It was Japan to have purchased this plane first, and the Japanese Navy contracted 30 purchase for Chinese fronts. The name in the Japanese Navy Heinkel 112 type land fighter (abbreviation mark A7He1). At first 12 He112B-0 is exported and were tested, but were not sent to a front because the speed was inferior to a fighter in kineticism, the buoyancy of the thing which I largely beat in 96 sets of warships of the fixed leg after all. These bodies were used as an exercise fighter and the teaching materials, and they were used for the studies such as taper wing and motor, gaining over leg, accompanying technologies afterwards. In addition, one plane of them is disposed of by the Tokyo Imperial University second department of engineering.

Remaining export to Japan became the cancellation from a delay of the delivery and was used by the Germany voluntary army condor army corps which participated in Spain disturbance instead. In addition, they were exported to Romania more than 20 planes, but, of these, 11 planes were the B-1 types which replaced an engine with strong Jumo210G. The body exported to Romania was used for game with against Soviet Union after World War II. In addition, minimal several planes are exported to Hungary.

The production number of planes was around 100 total each model, and the production was finished in form to lose in political ability of Messerschmitt company in 1939 after all with there not being regulation adoption to Luftwaffe. I made efforts in development of He100 to clear itself from regrets in He112 in Heinkel Corporation.

In addition, it was announced that He112U established a world record of 746.66km/h on March 10, 1939, but was the body which, actually, it was a He100V-8 type, and had nothing to do with the He112 series.
