The Daniel mirror (Daniel Miller, June 1, 1951 -) is a British record label owner, music producer. I am known as the founder of the mute record.
Origin
Perception, Faust, noy are interested in a kraut-rock such as Kraftwerk from 1960s through 1970s and begin activity of DJ in Switzerland. When I go back to the U.K., I have sympathy toward the DIY mind that a punk has in the golden age of the punk rock. A cheap synthesizer begins to be sold in the market for the same period, and electronic music / industrial band like スロッビング グリッスル and cabaret Voltaire comes to appear in the scene. The mirror influenced by them purchases KORG 700S and a tape recorder for the fund which I saved by work such as the picture editing and reaches organization of the normal and the establishment of the mute record.
After the return from a live tour of the normal, the mirror finds a heap of demo tape at the home door. This is because I wrote an address on the jacket of single "Warm Leatherette" for the invitation of the mute record, and the mute record will gradually add to the presence in an industrial and noise music scene.
