Baron Howard

Baron Howard

Baron the first Norfolk duke and first Howard John Howard

Baron Howard (British: Baron Howard) is English noble baron rank.

It begins in John Howard having been summoned by the English King Henry sixth on October 15, 1470 to the assembly [supplementary explanation 1]. He was granted Norfolk duke (the third) to in support of the enthronement of the Richard third in the sons of the daughter marguerite of Sir Robert Howard and first Norfolk duke (the first) Thomas Mowbrays later. However, I died in a loss with the Richard third in Richmond earl Henry テューダー (later English King Henry VII) and was sentenced to an attainder for a fight of Bosworth of August 22, 1485 by Henry VII [1].

As for Earl first Sally Thomas Howard who was a son of John, an attainder was canceled in 1490, and the Norfolk duke was returned in 1514, too. But handling of the Baron Howard rank is uncertain and is not more likely to become a target of the private right recovery of 1490, and the Baron Howard rank is to have been deprived up to the present if so [supplementary explanation 2]. On the other hand, if recovered in 1490, was succeeded as a subordination title afterward by successive Norfolk duke, and it would be in holder absence (abeyance) [equivalent questionable point] when the ninth Norfolk duke that there was only a daughter died in 1777 [supplementary explanation 3]; [1].

Supplementary explanation

  1. Because custom, thus, to found a title has not been yet established into a creation form at the time of ^, I am considered to be 叙爵 with the call to the assembly.
  2. The Duke of ^ Norfolk rank is deprived the Howards of in 1572 and is returned in 1660, but it is reliable that duke rank recovery of 1660 does not affect Howard baron rank.
  3. Unlike ^ girl and the Norfolk duke rank who cannot succeed to the maternal line, the Baron Howard rank founded by assembly draft paper (writ of summons) can succeed to a girl and the maternal line. But succession order agreed among daughters (when there were plural daughters without a son being, all the daughters become the succession order first place), and nobody can name a title it until a person of the succession order first place becomes alone. This state is called abeyance.
