Showa era

1935 big fire outbreak

When the Showa era began, Sakaimachi extended over the twice and visited the city center in misfortune to be destroyed by fire by a big fire [6]. It is a big fire of January (1935) in 1935, and the second is the suffering of the war damage caused (1945) in 1945 by military Funadama Sakae circle explosion case happened in April first ten years later [6].
It was the day when the northeastern wind resisted 1935 (1935) on January 12 on that day [6]. The flames caused suddenly from the corner of Sakaemachi at past 7:00 p.m. were driven by a strong wind that has just started and spread to Honcho, pine ヶ Edamachi, Sakaemachi, Hinodecho, Kyoumachi and finally died down at about 2:00 a.m. on the next morning [6]. 338 destruction by fire houses, toll were approximately 930,000 yen [6]. For a big fire reduced to ashes in downtown of Sakaimachi, the person concerned of the town lower than Mayor Kanji Nosaka made an effort for repair work in forgetting food and sleep [6].

Change of the name of a street

Meiji, Taisho era

The boundary village merged with the nose which was Idemura of the next village Jodo village (1870) on September 3 in 1870 and became Sakaimachi [7]. And I was sectioned in next seven towns [7].

1-4, Sakaemachi chome, pine ヶ 1-4, Edamachi chome, 1-2, Suehirocho chome, 1-2, Aioicho chome, 1-3, Asahicho chome, 1-3, Irifunecho chome, entertainment district 1-3 chome [7].

Then, I founded play Kamemachi in (1871) in 1870, and I put it together, and there were eight jurisdictions (Komachi) [7]. However, these Komachi is abolished once (1887) on August 23 in 1887, too and will call out time "only with merely Sakaimachi" [7].

I decided the setting of 21 Komachi by a town assembly of December (1925) in 1925 and set the name of a street of 21 next larger sections of a village with the authorization of the prefectural governor (1926) on May 15 in 1926 and revised lot number in total [7]. Political

Heads of towns and villages

The heads of towns and villages were chosen in municipalities society and served as the chairperson of the municipalities society [11]. It was an unpaid honorary post, but there was not a well-qualified person, and the inside had trouble and might employ a paid local public worker with the deputy mayor [11].

A village headman, the person who experienced the town official's post or the descendant is chosen as early heads of towns and villages [12]. There was the example which served as a representative from prefectural assembly, County Council while most of them going into prefectural assembly, County Council, and acting as a village mayor like Jodo village mayor rice Ryuji who congratulated it [12].

Furthermore, franchise was accepted to a woman when I entered under the new constitution of the Showa, and a Congresswoman appeared in 余子村議 and symbolized new age [13].

The name that I referred the place name to

There are many names which I referred the place name to in Sakaimachi [33]. There are 40 as of (1871) in 1871, too [33]. Considered that these names show Sakaimachi and the interchange with other ports, the area of the transaction and express that there were many immigrants from the other countries in Sakaiminato that prospered again [33].

Family name

  • People of transference increased with the development of the port in the state ward (former boundary village) from the middle part in the Edo era. Nishisyoji, the person of forest were considered to be one of boundary old family 29 in the old chronicle of the boundary village and were proud of an old family. According to the family tree, there is tradition of the marriage with Yoshichika Minamotono from prince original Takehiko life of the emperor 7s Emperor Korei at 45 代餘見島宿弥守明, and there is it when pleased to grant a source family name and name of a store of 餘戸家 than the Emperor Godaigo than it at the time of 9 代守侶. When it moved to a forest family name in at 代 or one late time in time of 父森豊前守守益 of 森次右衛門守祥 to be specified with a forest family name by the family tree of the person of forest with "Miyawaki family name" up to a billboard announcing a framework-raising ceremony of (1500) for Meio era nine years from that time, I am estimated. 宮脇、源、森の姓もその時代時代に宮廷より賜ったもので、慶長年間（1596年から1615年）に屡々吉田殿に参代しており、下って天明元年（1781年）には従五位に叙せられたとも伝えられている。 何故森姓に移ったかは明らかでない。 夜見村（現在の米子市夜見町）は境村、余子神社神官、森守祥の次男六郎右衛門守連らが、延宝7年（1679年）官許を得て開発した[36]
