The fighter-bomber which French Dassault Corporation was based on Mirage III E in Mirage 5 (Mirage 5) and developed.

In this clause, I comment on Mirage 50 (Mirage 50) of the development type.

Mirage 5

I repaired Mirage III E by a demand of Israel. It was a Roman numeral, but, as for the number notation, was switched to Arabic numeric immediately at first as well as こそ Mirage III because it was easy to confuse it with Mirage III V.

The big repair point from Mirage III E is the point where シラノ II F.C. radar [1] and some electronic equipment were taken off [2]. I move the electronic equipment which there was to the cockpit rear to the nose which I extended 53cm, and fuel capacity in this way increases by having built more fuel tanks on the part which became vacant. Two places of pylons are built more, but payload in itself does not change. In addition, Mirage III E and the type to hardly change existed in the fact that was equipped with シラノ II F.C. radar and Doppler navigation radar because Dassault Corporation did not define the component of Mirage 5 clearly at first.

Israel placed an order for Mirage 5J 50 in September, 1966, but did not cross it in an Israeli hand because President French Charles De Gaulle prohibited export on June 3, 1967. After these 50 planes were repaired after all, they became the French air-force plane as Mirage 5F. Mirage 5 got popularity afterwards from many countries which needed a low-priced and high-performance fighter-bomber.

Mirage 5 was sold to Libya and Egypt in rivalry with Israel by this export policy U-turn of France. Around 110 planes were exported to the former, and Qaddafi let a squadron participate in Fourth Middle East War. Therefore, a Libyan plane and an identification mark to distinguish were necessary for Mirage III of the Israeli air force. I purchased it, and, as for the latter, the irregular export that I transferred for free was performed in the form that Saudi Arabia bore a fund afterwards for the Egyptian air force which received a blow by Fourth Middle East War by Dassault [3]. The Egyptian air-force plane unfolded to the country only for six weeks from March, 1986 in order to support Iraq by Iran-Iraq war, and it was at war with an Iranian air-force plane. As for the ALQ-234 electronic warfare pod which the plane carried, it is told F-4 and hawk land-to-air missile to have been effective. The pilot of the Iranian side mistook Egyptian Mirage 5 for Mirage 2000 until I knew this fact.

It was Israel which was not able to obtain Mirage 5, but produced ネシェル of the copy product based on the information that the industrial spy obtained after all. When クフィル which replaced an engine with J79 made in the United States later was developed, the used goods machine was sold to Argentina by the name of "the dagger" and participated in a Falkland Islands conflict in 1982.

I have already retired in many operational countries including France, but am applied as a front line machine even now now in some countries including Pakistan. Pakistan obtains the body which I retired from in each place in large quantities and holds 150 or more including Mirage III.

The model who replaced an engine with a ter09K-50 same as Mirage F1 is Mirage 50. I repaired existing Mirage III/5 and was made, but, as for the new engineering, a few was made basically.

What it carried a ter09K-50 and flew made the first flight first in Milan developed by the demand of the Swiss air force in 1970. Although the development was canceled in the next year, a prototype of Mirage 50 was made with the body which attached a folding canard wing to the nose to a base with a body of Mirage III E or R, and planned a taking off and landing performance gain to a base with this body, and this made the first flight in 1975. The prototype equipped with a radar makes the first flight afterwards in 1979. In addition, Mirage III R2Z/D2Z for South Africa carried a ter09K-50, too and was Mirage 50 and the specification substantially.

Takeoff performance and acceleration performance improved, and payloads increased, and the athletic capability at the time of the battle was improved by the replacement of the engine, too. It could carry electronic equipment and 兵装 identical to Mirage III/5, and the package kit to repair it was developed from Mirage III/5 to Mirage 50 specifications. However, it was only Chile and Venezuela to have adopted.

Chile acquired new engineering Mirage 50C/DC which carried Mirage 50FC and アゲブレーダー which repaired Mirage 5F of the former France Air Force in 1980. These bodies modernized, and they were repaired afterwards by the Mirage 50CN/DN パンテーラ specifications that performed a canard wing and an air refueling probe, addition of HUD. Venezuela always repaired all Mirage III/5 which I held in the specifications at the same time to acquire new engineering Mirage 50EV/DV in 1990. These bodies are equipped with シラノ IV-M3 radar and the feature is that they are equipped with a canard wing and an air refueling probe from a beginning and has the operational ability of the Exocet anti-ship missile.

I retire from both air forces, but the Venezuelan air-force plane is transferred to Ecuador now.

A product for Belgian air forces. Shapes of the noses are slightly usually different from a model.

A modernization repair model of Colombia. I am almost repaired with クフィル by the specifications.

The model that modernized, and repaired Mirage 5F which Pakistan acquired from the French air force. ROSE is abbreviation of "Retrofit Of Strike Element".
Milan
A performance enhancement type for Swiss air forces. A folding canard wing is equipped with by the nose. It was non-adopted, but led to development of Mirage 50.
Mirage 50FC
The type that the name of Mirage 50 was added to for the first time that repaired Mirage 5F of the former France Air Force. I was exported to Chile.
Mirage 50C/DC
New engineering for Chilean air forces. It carries アゲブレーダー.
Mirage 50CN/DN パンテーラ
A Chilean air force received technical cooperation of Israel and I modernized and repaired Mirage 50FC/C/DC.
Mirage 50EV/DV
A product for Benes gills air forces. I am equipped with シラノ IV-M3 radar and an air refueling probe, a canard wing and have the operational ability of the Exocet anti-ship missile.

Israel copied Mirage 5F. I sell it to Argentina by the name of "the dagger". I change "a finger" and the name by modernization repair now.

  1. In a body for some countries including ^ France, plain Aida (Aїda) range-finding radar was equipped with instead. The reason why the Pitot tube of the nose slips off slightly from the nose tip downward and is attached is that it prevents you from shutting out the verge radar field of vision equipped with this. In addition, the derivation type equipped with シラノ II radar for the interception and アゲヴ (Agave), the radar for the anti-warship attack existed because it was equipped with transistor-type electronic equipment.
