Summary
Two expressways which diverge in Yamaguchi JCT from the Kyushu area, and ran through the Chugoku district to the east and west join again here. In addition, in our junction, it is in a strategic point of the traffic that a network of expressways to connect the east and west of Japan concentrates, and traffic quantity concentrates on the sections from here to China Ikeda IC of the Osaka area, and it is in the section where traffic jams occur frequently in. Therefore there is the car to detour around to Hanshin Expressway 7 Kitagodo Line. However, Kyoto, the traffic to the Nagoya area are that Osaka city, Wakayama, the traffic to the Nara area disperse in Chugoku Expressway in the new Meishin Expressway, and the cancellation of the chronic traffic jam is expected if the new Meishin Expressway planned (2017) in spring in 2017 is inaugurated. In addition, Nishinomiya-shi was the starting point, a terminal, but, in the Meishin Expressway, in new Meishin Expressway Kobe JCT, Kita-ku, Kobe-shi becomes the starting point, the terminal both in name and in reality.
