Chemical laser

Chemical laser

A laser using the induced emission with the molecules that the chemical laser (かがく laser) was activated.

The atom which was activated by a simple chemical reaction to mix two kinds of atoms for a method of the excitation with kind of the gas laser and photolysis and an electric discharge with other molecules and two kinds to react [1].

The chemiluminescent reaction system that the state of molecules makes population inversion enters the resonator, and laser oscillation is in this way enabled [2].

A general chemical laser includes oxygen - iodine chemical laser or a hydrogen fluoride laser and emits infrared rays. Because the output of the chemical laser is strong so as to reach the mega watt level, I am used for ballistic missile defense in cutting and a perforator, the field of defense. I release a large quantity of harmful halide as a product by the chemical reaction and adversely affect the ozone layer when I am released within the range of the atmosphere.
