Legend

Mark king of Cornwall, Howard Pyle image (1905)

A mark king dispatches Tristram to bring Irish princess, イゾルテ as a bride. However, イゾルテ falls in love with Tristram, and there is the help of the medicine of the magic, and two exchange the most intense love affair in medieval literature. A mark king doubts the relations of two people, but the doubt is finally changed to the conviction. A mark king ties up Tristram with a certain printing block and is going to fire you and shuts in イゾルテ in the isolation facilities of the leprosy patient. Tristram who ran away from hanging rescues イゾルテ of the falling into enemy hands, and this is found out to a mark king later. A mark king finally forgave them, and イゾルテ was returned to a mark king, and Tristram would leave the country.

In this story, a mark king doubts adultery of Tristram and イゾルテ, and it is repeated several times that I believe their innocence. Such an event happens in products many times. According to the version of Beroul, there are not Tristram and the thing that イゾルテ falls into a crisis serious at all as a narrator declares it when God is lucky near him. The side as the husband is described unlike other King appearing in the King Arthur legend only playing a role as the King ideally, and the role as the husband being described, and a mark king not crying.

A mark king is sympathetic to a wife of the unchastity; is described, and, from one, appear as a real villain in "prosaic Tristram". He raped one's niece and when the niece delivers his son, I murder her and am. I kill it to Baldwin who is brother of oneself in the same way. Tristram was to be killed in the edition before this story apart from a mark king in Bretagne, but it comes to seem to be said that the mark King stabs it to death in "Tristram of the prose" when Tristram plays the harp for イゾルテ in under a tree. A mark king as such a person was common with the work of the Middle Ages including "death of King Arthur" of romance and Thomas Malory of パロミデス. But I seem to be sympathetic and come to describe a mark king in the work based on a recent "legend of Tristram and イゾルテ" again although I obtain a subject from a poetry story of the Middle Ages. A mark king usually lives in the ティンタジェル castle and, in these legends, is to govern Cornwall.

Mark king came to be related to Celts-like variant form by "the Midas King of the ear of the donkey" who appeared in the Greek myth. An ear of a mark king is that of horse, and, in a Welsh story, as for his name "March", it is to the thing which parodied "a horse" of Welsh [1]. According to the legend of Breton, it is said that he is King of コルヌアイユ. One day he catches a doe in コルヌアイユ, but it is revealed that this is ダユー princess (Dahut). The girlfriend who became the figure of the person gave it an order to wear an ear and the mane of his horse for a mark king.

A mark king can consider the gravestone of Cornwall found in a dark age to be made from "coOrr old King" appearing equally.
