Martian President Carter

Martian President Carter

"Martian President Carter" (かせいのだいとうりょう Carter) is a parody SF short story of Kaoru Kurimoto and the sketchbook which assumes it a title product. I collected five parody SF works placed in "S-F magazine". It was published as "Hayakawa, SF, a special" from Hayakawa Publishing in November, 1984. It was published in のち March, 1988 by Hayakawa library.

Each work becomes the parody of the SF work (the Edgar rice Burroughs Corp. "Mars series" Fredric Brown "Martian go home" Robert E Howard "hero Conan" Tom Godwin "cold equation") which Kurimoto loved. In addition, the binding of Hayakawa, SF, the special version imitated the binding of "Hayakawa, SF, the series" that publication was cut off last in November, 1974 faithfully, and it is a hommage work for the SF which the author loved including this binding.

In addition, "Carter" of title product "Martian President Carter" is President Jimmy Carter not chief character John Carter of "the Mars series" (because it is after I lost United States of America presidential election in 1980, it is correct an ex-President).
