The cherry tree is the limited express train which West Japan Railway Co. (West Japan Railway) and Kyushu Railway Co. (Kyushu Railway Company) operate between Shin-Osaka Station - Kagoshima-Chuo Station of Sanyo Shinkansen, Kyushu Shinkansen. The color indicating the classification pinkness () [1].

Summary

I started service by Sanyo Shinkansen and Kyushu Shinkansen with Kyushu Shinkansen (Kagoshima route) whole line opening of March 12, 2011 and started direct driving of both Shinkansen at the same time [2].

"Sakura" greatly distributes it and is classified roughly to a system to conclude in system to run directly between Sanyo Shinkansen and Shin-Osaka Station - Kagoshima-Chuo Station of Kyushu Shinkansen and Kyushu Shinkansen including the Hakata Station - Kagoshima-Chuo Station interval. I am allotted to a train running between Sanyo, Kyushu Shinkansen through train and Hakata Station - Kagoshima-Chuo Station mainly. All the trains to communicate directly are N700 system, and Sanyo Shinkansen and Kyushu Shinkansen are operated.

I was developed by combination of West Japan Railway and Kyushu Railway Company on carrying out direct driving. I am based on an N700 system zeroth level .3000 turn stand of West Japan Railway, the Central Japan Railway joint development, but it is all motor cars to find running performance in most steep grade 35 ‰ of Kyushu Shinkansen, and it is eight formation from the viewpoint of adequacy of the transport capacity.

The inside of car follows interior of "Hikari rail star" (700 system 7000th stand), and it is the unreserved seat of the +3 line sheet, a 4-8 car (as for part of the sixth car) two lines of 1-3 cars in the reserved seat of two lines of +2 line sheet. The "Hikari rail star" compartment which I looked good with is not prepared for while the extra charge green car which was not established in "Hikari rail star" in the sixth car is prepared.
