Nihilistic アドミラリ
A phrase of the Latin of the nihilistic ad Mira re-(Latin: Nihil admirari) meaning, there is not it, and "I am surprised at nothing" "is shaken by nothing" in ニル ad Mira re-(Latin: Nil admirari).
Origin
Marx トゥッリウス Cicero raises its example of Anaxagoras saying that the true intelligence is that the preparation is done in every possible event and is what is not surprised even if there is what. Anaxagoras is informed of the death of the son, and it is said that I met it with "(Sciebam me genuisse mortalem) where I knew that a thing given to me should die" [1]. Horace and ルキウス アンナエウス Seneca (small Seneca) praise the ethical toughness of such a manner in allusion to a similar example, too [2]; [3].
Example in Japanese
- Ougai Mori uses it as follows in novel "dancing girl" (1890). "Diary ものせむとて 買 ひし 册子 does not yet have 氣象 をや 養 ひ profit たりけむ of a kind of "ニル, アドミラリイ" between 物學 びせし in blank paper のま ゝ なるは, 獨逸 either, and there is a reason in this particularly." [4]
- As for Soseki Natsume, "then you start" a novel; in (1909) to "he who inhabits Japan of the 20th century 30 it is, or though it is not, already reach the area of nil admirari, and write it down with end ivy.", and wave "ニルアドミラリ" and an agate to "nil admirari" [5].
- Ryunosuke Akutagawa used it as follows in unfinished novel "street" (1919). "Shunsuke was too so-called ニル ad Mira re-な human being in order to be interested in such an ugly inside facts." [6]
- Ariake Kanbara used the novel of the autobiography as follows in (1947) when "I called for the dream and exchanged it". "Ougai had the weak point, and Ougai is ニルアドミラリ since "a dancing girl" if knowing too much knew the self, and the weak point is a heart of the self-confidence, and it is said negatively." [7]
