A motion picture of director Yasujiro Ozu that "tenement house Who's Who" (ながやしんしろく) was released on May 20, 1947.
Summary
Ozu who went back to Japan in February, 1946 will take this product after a rest of one year. Concerning the human empathy drama that I did on the stage of the Tokyo downtown area by the familiar Shochiku exclusive belonging actor, there were prewar days and the review not to change, but starts reality at the time for Ozu when I let a war orphan of burnt field and Ueno seen in the background appear.
Outline
One child, Kohei who lost a parent in the tenement house street of the place with Tokyo is brought, but all the residents are reluctant to do it, and a seed running 挙句金物屋 will take over the child. I was reluctant to do the seed exclusively, but it was not rich at all, but lived a fun life first when I came to love it very much and took it to the zoo while I gradually took care of the child and fed it a delicious thing. One man who gave his father of Kohei soon appeared and left it. The seed yearned for the child who became with biological parent and cried.
