Zindaiji

Zindaiji (gin Daiji) is the N body calculation visualization software which four dimensions of National Astronomical Observatory of Japan digital space project develops. Originally, by the software which was developed to produce an animation to show in the movie theater which could look at the outer space three-dimensionally in the astronomical observatory, I was shown with a source code in the official web site of the project in May, 2007, and it was open-source software.

Origin of the name

Because I wanted to have Japanese name with the meaning that developers told "to be software made in Japan", I was touched by place name "Jindaiji" (pitch a camp important) of Tokyo which the one of the developer lived for in those days.

Function

I can display the complicated calculation result that said "what kind of move do a large number of stars make in outer space?" in real time and can save the result as an animation. In addition, "for" right eye and "for" left eye and the condition that said can make the separate animations corresponding to both eyes to see it using special glasses three-dimensionally when I produce an animation.
