Votive offering to nihility

The whodunit that "votive offering (きょむへのくもつ) to nihility" is considered to be a masterpiece of Japanese novelist, Hideo Nakai. It was published as a book in 1964.

Mushitaro Oguri "black death building murder case" is admired equally with the three major curious books of the Japanese detective story history with Kyusaku Yumeno "ドグラ マグラ". I am known as a masterpiece of the anti-whodunit (anti mystery) refusing to be a whodunit while being a whodunit.

It was become a TV drama in 1997.

Establishment

In January, 1955, a design of the whole book appears in detail [1]. (21 -23, 26) to publish serially in membership system coterie "Adonis" four times in 碧川潭名義 finishes being unfinished. I finished writing it to overall half after several years and applied for the eighth Ranpo Edogawa Prize of 1962 in a nom de plume of "塔晶夫" afterwards [explanatory note 1]. Two products of "the gorgeous body" of Sen Saga were prizewinners, and, as for the result, "the votive offering to nihility" remained "a great vision" of Masako Togawa in the next seat. One of the judges Ranpo Edogawa described this product as "a joke novel" by developing inference with reference to the novels which existed [3]. I finished writing it to the latter half in the next year and, on February 29, 1964, published it from Kodansha in 塔晶夫名義 [4]. I am recorded in "Hideo Nakai anthology" for 31 Publishing in 1969 and it is belonging to Hideo Nakai of the real name and is published afterward [5].

Outline

The strange murder case that a person of ice marsh is developed as the stage. Chief characters who were present at the spot exchange an inference battle, but the inference presents the appearance of the pedantry hobby and finally falls into confusion.

氷沼蒼司 (ひぬまそうじ)

TV drama

It was become a TV drama in a drama frame with a title of "votive offering (ばらのさついきょむへのくもつ) to urge to kill - nihility of the rose" on NHK-BS2 Sunday from January 26, 1997 to March 2. All six episodes. It is not had becoming it, but, as of 2012, may be broadcasted DVD again by communication satellite broadcasting.
