PIC (image compression)

One of the image compression formats that PIC (pick) was used in Japan. It is an image compression form of the reversible compression by the やなぎさわ device.

In one of the formats used for image exchange on the PC communication before the Internet spread, I was used as a virtually standard image format in the X68000 series of Sharp. PIC2

PIC2 is an image format of the reversible compression for full color that improved PIC. The characteristic of the compression is near PIC. However, I have disappeared without the development of PIC2 being considerably late, and beginning, and being able to make a loader or a saver for PIC2 because time suffered from a decision before it spread too much because JPEG had already become mainstream as an image format for the full color at that time.
