Strength difference between both ears
The strength difference (りょうじかんきょうどさ, interaural intensity difference, IID) between both ears says the extreme difference in the ear of right and left of the sound to rise from one sound source.
If a sound source is on the left from the front, the left ear is stronger, and the right ear is stronger if on the right from the front. I may be called the level difference (interaural level difference, ILD) between both ears.
Because I could control it with the strength difference between both ears and the time lag between both ears relatively easily, I have been used well from the 1960s or it past. It is difficult about the strength difference between both ears whereas the time lag between both ears can be similar by a simple expression. In other words, the strength difference between both ears shows a complicated characteristic in the domain with more than 2kHz becoming important of strength difference between both ears.
