I realized 3 degrees World Series conquest in total as shrewd general manager in Phillies in the Tronto Blue Jays in 2008 in 1992 and 1993 and carried out entering United States baseball palace in 2011 [2].

Career

I was in University of Southern California and I played an active part in the college World Series of 1958 and contributed to championship.

I play after graduation from university from 1959 through 1963 by Baltimore Orioles and a minor league team of the affiliation with Pittsburgh Pirates AAA grade in 5 seasons. I retired without once being promoted in MLB.

I started the carrier of the sales department after retirement in Houston Astros. I was finally promoted to a talent scout director in Astros. I transfer to the New York Yankees in 1974 and become the player upbringing section staff.

I transferred to the Tronto Blue Jays in 1976 and took office as personnel affairs deputy director. I took office as GM in general manager (GM) assistance, 1978 in 1977. Though Blue Jays was an expansion baseball team, I gave glory to the first Divisional Championship in 1985 of the baseball team foundation eighth year. I cut van and established an academy of the baseball team direct control in the Dominican Republic, and the Dominican youth who made a contract grew up before most became a regular. Blue Jays is the Divisional Championship in 1989 and 1991. And I achieved the two years consecutive World Series conquest in 1992 and 1993. Blue Jays released the leading player of the high annual salary in succession when I retired from GM and entered at the opposition with the baseball team for the slump period that could never enter within the district second place until 2006 in 1994.

I acted as GM of Baltimore Orioles by contract from 1996 through 1998 for three years and I reinforced Robert Alomar from Blue Jays and did it, and Orioles went into a play-off for 2 consecutive years in 1996 and 1997.

I take office as GM of Seattle Mariners in 2000. Mariners went into a play-off in 2000 and 2001, the following day. 116 wins become the each generation most record of MLB along with Chicago Cubs of 1906 in a season of 2001. I got Ichiro, Brett Boone and others while I released Ken Griffey Jr. and Alex Rodrigues in free agents (FA). The results of the leading player of the pitching and batting power dropped, and Mariners sank into the district last place for 3 consecutive years from 2004, the following day when I retired from GM in 2003.

I take office as GM of Phillies in 2005. I work hard at young upbringing, and Phillies steps forward for a play-off in 2007 and achieves the World Series conquest in 2008. I retired from GM in the same year.

Prominent foreseeability and decision are evaluated and achieve entering Canadian baseball palace in 1997. I achieved entering American baseball palace by selection of Veterans Committee on July 24, 2011.
