Career

In 1981, I contract with the Tronto Blue Jays as an outfielder at the age of 15 years old. I convert to a pitcher afterwards. I am traded on September 4, 1987 to Baltimore Orioles, and a measure makes its debut on September 4, the same year. I transfer to Cleveland Indians by the trade with the minor leaguer on July 14, 1992.

I acted as the starting pitcher from a debut to the seventh year, but pitcher's earned run average converts to relief badly in 1994 and gives 46 saves as a closer from 1995 and acquires the title of the most save. It was contained in the second place next to Randy Johnson by the vote of Cy Young Award [1]. I took it on August 23 and recorded a measure new record and 38 times of continuation save success that it was [2] and all-star was picked from May 5 when it became the first save in a season for the first time.

I contributed to the World Series advance of the team as a closer in 1997 in 1995, but there was not the world's best experience and I suffered 1 loss in nine times by the seventh round for the World Series of 1997 and was caught up with a tie score, and the team was defeated by 11 times of extension [3]. I transferred to San Francisco Giants on July 23, 1998 and transferred to Seattle Mariners by contract afterwards for two years after the season [2].

I complete a contract for two years with Mariners and transfer by Phillies and a contract of 2 a total of 3,400,000 dollars a year on November 17, 2000 [2]. 2001 42 saves and six years a season 40 save 45 saves to record it, and to update the baseball team of the save in 43 in a season of Mitch Williams in 2002 a record [4].

I achieve 100 saves in total in Phillies on May 23 in 2003 and record 104 saves at the time of Indians being on the register roll and achieve 100 saves in history in two baseball teams becoming the tenth [2]. I recorded 24 saves, but, as for the pitcher's earned run average, the state that was defeated if I pitched in 6.52 of the self-worst continued [5].

I make a minor contract with Pittsburgh Pirates of the closer absence by contract on January 30, 2004 and participate as an invitation player by the camping [5]. I leave a result, and I am appointed as a closer by the start and set 18 games consecutive saves and record 42 saves by total in a season. I achieve 300 saves to become the 19th in history on April 27 in total in 2005 [2]. Although April was peak form, the save success rate was under 80% and I let you go through in a season and was unstable. I was used together with Salomon Torres, microphone Gonzales for the end game in a season.

It is pitched as set uppercut in Colorado Rockies in 2006 by self-most 79 games. I played in Detroit Tigers in 2007, but I pitched for 16 games and was discharged by results of pitcher's earned run average 12.34 on June 3. I contract with Phillies on June 9. I achieve 1,000 pitches in total on July 26 [6].
