Venn island (by the old notation of Ven, Danish and Swedish Hven) is an island of the Sweden territory in the エーレスンド straits between Scandinavian Peninsula and Sjaelland. I belong to Landskrona of スコーネ. Approximately 400 inhabitants live in the area in 7.5 km². The 1930s was a peak of the population, and there was a population of approximately 1,300.

It was Denmark territory, but loss of 1658 went berserk and became the Sweden territory in treaty, Copenhagen treaty of 1660 historically.

Because Tycho Brahe put up two astronomical observatories of ウラニボリ and ステルネボリ, I am known.

There are three villages, Bäckviken, Tuna By, Kyrkbacken in the island.

A ferry between Landskrona and Helsingborg goes into service in Bäckviken, and a ferry goes into service in Copenhagen during the summer. It is a popular sightseeing spot during the summer. I produce wheat and grapes in a right lot of the agriculture.
