Sendai power station (せんだいはつでんしょ) is an oil thermal power station of Kyushu Electric Power in Minatocho, Satsumasendai-shi, Kagoshima character China 6110-1.

Summary

The second unit started commercial operation the first unit in September, 1985 in July, 1974.

The second unit adopts DSS(Daily Start and Stop) method and stops in the night with a little electricity demand. LPG was used for fuel from environmental regulation at first, but use was canceled in 1991 by supply instability. A prevention of pollution agreement is revised with the abolition of LPG facilities in October, 2004 and is considered to be use of heavy oil [¹].

I may be called like "Sendai thermal power station" or "Sendai heat" to distinguish it from Kawauchi Nuclear Power Plant in the same city, but the official name is "Sendai power station".

The Sendai power station is built in the opposite side across Kawauchi Nuclear Power Plant and the Sendai River. Furthermore, the Sendai power station is almost built with Kawauchi Nuclear Power Plant for the same period. As for this, the doubt that might be because the Kawauchi Nuclear Power Plant shall include the fishery compensation agreement for the Sendai power station is held [³].
